If you're like is here at Mac Rentals, then you woke up one day, plugged in your iPhone or iPad to backup and add some apps, and discovered that the App Store on iTunes on your computer was GONE! Apparently this was done in an effort to streamline iTunes and bring back it's focus on Music, Videos, and TV shows. But to many users in the enterprise, as well as many others, this was a big blow to how we get things done on our iOS devices.
Luckily someone at Apple noticed the chatter on various boards and brought back the App Store to a special version of iTunes. We don't know how long it will remain there or if it will be updated to future versions, but for now you can download version 12.6.3 with the App Store by using this link.

Have you been experiencing issues with the touchscreen on your Apple iPad or iPhone? Have you had your screen replaced somewhere other than the Apple Store and have upgraded to iOS 11? Users are reporting unresponsive displays and other touchscreen issues on iOS 11 with aftermarket screen replacements. We've noticed this firsthand here at Mac Rentals on some iPhones. A quick update to iOS 11.0.3 seems to fix this issue, along with fixes to the haptic feedback on iPhone 7s and some audio issues on various models.
iOS 11 has not been without it's share of hiccups so far, but at least fixes are coming fairly quickly. The key complaint many users are having is significantly shorter battery life with some iPhones giving out 2-3 hours faster than with iOS 10.3.3. Mac Rentals still has a good inventory of rental iPads and iPhones in both iOS 10.3.3 and iOS 11.0.3 configurations. If you need a rental iPad to test your apps on iOS 11 and don't want to upgrade your own unit, give us a call! 800-756-6227. |
